Hair today: I put in those braids!

 I was so tempted by the braids left and right on Youtube. So I put these in over 2 days and went straight back to work. They are lovely and long (butt length) but I tend to wear them in buns unless I'm running.

Style Ideas: Outfit of the day. Black on Black!

 Just a simple black top on black jeans look with a strippy black and white stretchy belt. I love the gold zip on the back of this H&M top. The belt really breaks up the black outfit (and really brightens up many other outfits).

My foray into eye make-up: Barry M!

 

Not bad for a first-timer!

I got back to London last weekend and popped into Boots - I was headed for Marks and Sparks but it was closed -boo! I don't know what made me move towards the makeup isles, but suddenly there I was staring at the 3 for 2 offer signs and the Barry M soft eye pencils! *light bulb moment*

Needless to say, I got 3 eye pencils. I took my sweet time choosing which ones too -lol!
In the end I settled for an electric blue, purple and a lighter blue shade. Here was my first attempt with these pencils!

My mini-review would be:
Yes, very soft!
Easy to use, tick!
Layers on well, tick!
Compliments all round, tick tick tick!

Would you believe I went and got more on the next day out shopping with my mother! Of course I did! And I I really can't wait till the weekends when I can experiment some more. See, I always wanted to be talented with make-up. I was just very fearful of the little girl-looking-like-a-clown effect I might get!
I rather like it (so British a statement!).

A new blog....how to get from Where I Am to Where I Want To Be!

Ok!
Brief intro: I'm a Londoner (UK) who travels between the English countryside and London quite regularly.
I recently realised that I managed to achieve a lot of haircare based goals for myself last year but not my life goals.

Why?

I let the river of life carry me onwards when I should have picked a direction to paddle (in the first place).

So here I am, a few months into 2011, finally waking up to this!

I already have a hair blog where I try to share and inspire (I hope) other ladies on their healthy hair journeys. For this, I wanted something completely separate.
